// her ideas, shaped together

Zoey's Lab

The ideas here are an eight-year-old's. She works out what an app should do and how it ought to feel, and we shape it together until it runs. Everything climbs the same ladder: an idea, then a prototype, then a polished app. Three have reached the top — all free, all work offline once installed, and none has ads, tracking, or an account to make.

Huely a colour lab

Drip cyan, magenta and yellow and watch them blend the way real ink does — magenta and yellow make red, not mud. Then turn the lights off and cross red, green and blue beams that add up to white instead. Two opposite kinds of colour, one engine. 58 quests, 76 colours the world named, palettes from your own photos.

Ditty a Morse code lab

Tap for a dit, hold for a dah. Every mark is drawn as long as you held it, so the rhythm that makes Morse readable is something you can see before anyone explains it. Quests in the order Morse is really taught, a playable alphabet, and the history from 1838 on.

Tessa a shape lab

Every shape is the shape below it, dragged — a point to a line, a square to a cube, one more drag to the tesseract. Draw shapes that get named and scored, raise a cube with your own hand, fold six squares into a cube (there are exactly 11 ways), and find the hexagon hiding inside every cube.

Numa a number lab · on the bench

Some numbers refuse to be split. Factor anything, run long division under a microscope until the digits start repeating — and find out why they repeat. Sixteen number-theory ideas, each one worked out for whatever number you are holding, including two nobody has solved.

A few dots, a tune that's yours. Place notes on a paper roll, turn up the tempo, and hear your pattern loop. Little bells, plucky strings, soft clouds — no lessons, just listening.
